Double Surfboards History

Double Surfboards was founded in 1998 by Surfboard Builder Brian Brown.
Brian Started repairing Surfboards when he got his first ding at 12 years old.
He was repairing boards for the local surfers in his hometown at the local surf shop (New Vision).
Brian then got a job sanding boards in 1994, where he was able to see how surfboard building was done. He wanted to have a quiver but couldn't afford one so decided to start shaping his own boards. While thinking of a name for his boards, his friends took an interest in having boards made from him. They said "Just put Double on mine" (for his initials BB).

Brian is constantly working on new designs and refining his boards, while keeping a strong emphasis on a quality product for his customer. Brian builds most of his boards from start to finish himself and if he lets another set of hands touch his boards, he makes sure they are reputable and experienced in surfboard manufacturing. Brian worked and still continues to work for and with various surfboard companies. Double Surfboards is an American made product only manufactured in California.
